HP TouchPad receives massive price cut:
After slashing the TouchPad's price $100 over the weekend, HP has decided to make the cut permanent.
HP may have decided to terminate its webOS devices but that doesn’t mean existing tablets that have already been built will magically disappear. And since they won’t be selling anymore webOS tablets in the future, they’ve decided to get rid of the existing tablets the fastest way they know how to (well, second fastest if you include incinerating them all) – by having a fire sale!
The TouchPad now starts at $399 for the 16 GB model. The 32 GB model costs $499.
Engadget noticed the cut and confirmed it with a HP rep.
It doesn't take a lot of brainpower to figure TouchPad sales probably aren't so hot. It went on sale just over a month ago, and is already $100 cheaper than it originally was.
For those who bought a TouchPad at the original price, HP is offering $50 in free apps from its app store.

India's latest communication satellite, G-SAT 12, will be launched today from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SHAR) in Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh today.
The satellite will be launched using the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) with the lift-off window scheduled between 4:48 pm and 5:08 pm.
K Radhakrishnan, chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) said "the countdown has already started and we expect the rocket to lift off at 4.48 pm."
For the present mission, PSLV-XL, a more powerful version of the rocket, would be used for the launch.
GSAT-12, weighing 1,410 kg and equipped with 12 Extended-C band transponders, will augment communication capabilities in telemedicine, tele-education and telephone and other services.
In PSLV-XL version, six extended solid strap-on motors carrying 12 tonnes of solid propellant in total are being used as against nine tonnes in a standard PSLV variant, Mr Radhakrishnan said.
The cost of the rocket is Rs. 90 crore while the satellite, GSAT-12, costs Rs. 80 crore but both are not insured.
This is the second time such a powerful configuration had been deployed, after it was used to put Chandrayaan-I into orbit in 2008.
For the PSLV, this will be the 19th mission with the last 17 flights proving successful. This is the second PSLV launch this year after the PSLV-C16 in April when the rocket lofted Resourcesat-2 and two other micro satellites into orbit.
Two more launches of the PSLV are expected later this year.
The ISRO was forced to use the PSLV as its other launch system, the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV), is out of commission due to repeated failures.

India will launch a new communication satellite at 4:48 pm on Friday evening that will help doctors and teachers in cities diagnose and teach people in rural India via satellite link.
A severe shortage of communication satellites has pushed the Indian Space Research Organisation to launch the GSAT-12 on Friday.
ISRO Chairman K Radhakrishnan said, "GSAT-12 is a communication satellite. It has twelve transponders in the extended C Band. It is a fast track satellite meant to build up capacity of transponders for Indian users."
The twelve transmitter-receiver modules or transponders on GSAT-12 are for tele-medicine and education. Rural patients will have doctors diagnose them, rural schools will get classes from teachers, all via satellite link.
But communication satellites also drive India's telecom and television revolution. ISRO wanted 500 transponders in the air by 2012, yet today it only has 175. It has leased 86 transponders on foreign satellites and even plans to hire a satellite, but it still won't be enough.
There is another hitch - Communication satellites are very heavy and they fly very high and so, they need very powerful rockets. But after failing twice in 2010, India's Geostationary Satellite Launch Vehicle will fly again only next year.
"The cryogenic engine and stage have to be tested, the flight stage has to be made ready. On the other side, some improvements for the shroud design, that we have learnt from this experience, we will incorporate into next year's launches," K Radhakrishnan said.
Therefore, ISRO has put its old warhorse, the PSLV, on steroids. With six extra large motors and twelve tonnes of fuel, it will take GSAT-12 into space.

Update Jul 2 : As i’m trying to send a lot of invites, i came to know from some people that Google has put my invite mails in spam folder’s in some of your emails to whom i have sent the invites. In some cases i sent out 6 invites to some people thinking it didn’t send them, Please check your Spam folders for the invite if i have sent it to you, if you Couldn’t find one,I’m trying to send as much invites as i can,so wait for some time till i send it.. or you can either follow this trick ..Google+ (Plus) New Invite Trick that Can let You in Right Now..peace..
